Maunga Club was founded by the late Roslyn Davis in 1973, who loved to ski in the beautiful mountain ranges surrounding Maunga Club.
Which is why Roslyn was inspired to found the Club on the very grounds she loved to visit all the time, building four beautiful Chalets for the members of the club to enjoy.
Unfortunately, in a massive snow storm in 1991. The fourth Chalet named Kea was destroyed. This incited her to undergo the massive renovation which added more support and better design to the Chalets that sit on the mountain today.
